THE PROJECT
Expro QLD approached DESC Designs with an unstable WordPress website that could no longer be safely updated.
The existing website contained valuable, current information, so the goal wasn't to start from scratch creatively — it was to preserve what worked while rebuilding the technology underneath it.
THE BRIEF
The project needed to:
- Restore website stability
- Allow WordPress and plugin updates to be performed safely
- Preserve existing business content
- Improve security and reliability
- Provide a modern foundation for future development
THE APPROACH
An assessment of the existing WordPress installation identified outdated components and compatibility issues that were contributing to the site's instability.
Rather than continuing with temporary fixes, a complete redevelopment was recommended using the latest WordPress environment and Divi 5.
A staging environment was used so the new website could be rebuilt and tested without disrupting the live site. Existing content was retained and restructured within the new framework, while the design was refined to create a cleaner and more modern user experience.
Additional improvements included:
- Updated and refreshed imagery
- Refined page layouts and navigation
- Re-established Google reCAPTCHA security
- Improved compatibility with current WordPress standards
- A more maintainable foundation for future updates
THE RESULT
The website was successfully redeveloped and launched within two days, providing Expro QLD with a stable and maintainable digital platform.
The original content and identity of the business were retained, while the underlying technology, presentation and reliability were significantly improved.

A familiar website rebuilt on a modern foundation — stable, maintainable and ready for the future.
