OVERVIEW
Heather and Rob from Obanato Pty Ltd approached me with concerns about their existing website. They were dissatisfied with the final result of the site that had been previously created for them and wanted to know how I could improve it to better suit their needs and business objectives.
THE BRIEF
The main objective was to take their current website and transform it into a functional, professional, and visually appealing platform that met their expectations. They wanted a website that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also efficient, with unnecessary elements removed and only the essential features retained.
THE APPROACH
To begin, I cloned their website to a staging environment to work safely without affecting the live site. I removed the free theme that was initially being used and installed Divi, a fully licensed theme that provided more flexibility, reliability, and security.
Next, I audited the site’s 47 plugins to identify which were necessary and which could be removed. Reducing the number of plugins improved the website’s performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
With the essentials in place, I carefully rebuilt and enhanced the site, emulating the original design while improving functionality and user experience. Every detail was considered to ensure the site worked seamlessly and aligned perfectly with Heather and Rob’s vision.
The process took approximately 3–4 weeks, during which I maintained open communication to ensure the site developed according to their requirements.
THE OUTCOME
The final result was a fully optimised and visually refined website, released exactly as Heather and Rob envisioned. The site is now more efficient, user-friendly, and professional, providing a platform that better supports their business goals.
